DAY 1 - WELCOME DAY

WELCOME DAY

  • Transfer from airport to accommodation

DAY 2 - KAMIROS RIDE

Normal day program 40 km

We visit the North West Rhodes. We begin the tour in a lush pine forest and then cycle towards Profitis Ilias Monastery dating from the 16th century, situated atop the hill, dedicated to the Prophet Elijah.
Arriving at the monastery, we have magnificent views of the Aegean Sea and all of Rhodes island. Here too are the gardens of two superb buildings, which used to be residence of the Italian and Greek aristocracy. They now house the Elafos Hotel.
Leaving the bicycles to the side for a short time, we visit the ruins of Villa de Vecchi on foot (Italian governor’s villa), where we have the pleasure of admiring the view of the Aegean Sea and the wild mountainous beauty of Western Rhodes.
Getting back on our bikes again, we enter the pine forest again heading to the traditional village of Salakos, passing by "Fountoukli" Chapel dating from the 14th century with its unique architecture and wall paintings.
Our next stop is the Valley of the Butterflies at Salakos where you can enjoy a relaxing walk and a Greek snack.
We then continue downhill to the coastal asphalt road and cycle next to the sea feeling the breeze from the Aegean Sea waves. We are headed to the ancient city of Kamiros, where we will take a walk in order to admire ancient Greek culture.

KAMIROS RIDE

  • 9.00 to 16.00 
  • Transfer to Profitis Ilias for “The Kamiros” ride. 
  • Visit to De Vecchi’s villa ruins. Cycling to Salakos. Snack at Salakos butterfly valley. Cycling by the sea in asphalt road and visit at the ancient city of Kamiros.

DAY 3 - THE MONOLITHOS DAY 

Normal day program 40 km

The tour starts off near the village of Monolithos on the west coast of the island. After a short ascent and some flat sections on dirt roads we find ourselves in the middle of the forest. While cycling, we can enjoy spectacular views of the west coast and nearby islands.
There is a short rest break at a small church that dates from the 15th century and a chance to learn about nature and the local traditions of Rhodes. Following the forest roads, we then pass by a recently excavated archaeological site.
We continue along an asphalt road through small villages till we reach Apolakia Dam. After having our snack at the dam, we continue cycling to a nearby beach where the tour ends.

THE MONOLITHOS DAY

  • 9.00 to 16.30 
  • Transfer to Monolithos. “The Kimisala” ride. Cycling route in the forest. 
  • Greek Coffee stop at Sianna
  • Greek delicacies snack at Apolakia dam. 
  • Cycling to the beach
  • Swimming at a beach with crystal clear waters

DAY 4 - FILERIMOS HIKING & MEDIEVAL CITY WALKING

Exploration of Filerimos mountain close to city of Rhodes. Follow the footsteps of the goddess Athena and reach the ancient acropolis enjoying a perimetric panorama of the island. 
The Rhodes city tour. Medieval, ancient and modern-day city of Rhodes. Walk past the well known sights while following alternative paths and hidden spots.
Learn to cook Greek food at a Greek taverna in Tsabika and take the recipes with you.

FILERIMOS HIKING & MEDIEVAL CITY WALKING

  • hiking exploration at “Filerimos” (mountain close to Rhodes city) from 10.00 to 14.00 
  • 14:30 to 17:30 Rhodes Medieval City tour
  • 18.30 to 22.00 Greek cuisine lesson, meal at a local restaurant.

DAY 5 - THE RED WATER DAY

Normal day program 35 km

The route starts off heading downhill and passes through the Malona orange grove. A stop at the village’s main church gives cyclists the chance to briefly stroll around the village and recover a little. 
We then continue by cycling next to the course of the Gadoura River heading towards the source of the river and the small, but impressive, Gadoura falls.
Heading towards Gadoura bridge built by the Italians in the 1930s, we have the chance to explore some old battlements from the Second World War.
Rest for a short time next to the old bridge before continuing along the dried-out river bed heading towards the beach. This route also takes us past the runway of an old airport. The beach is the ideal place to finish the ride, enjoy a refreshing dip in the deep blue waters of the sea.

THE RED WATER DAY

  • 10.00 to 16.30 
    Transfer to location for cycling at Malona. “The Red Water” ride. 
    Cycling in Aithonas valley and Malona area
    Visit at the main Church of the village of Malona
    Hiking in the red water canyon
    Snack at Kamiri monastery 
    Swimming at Kalathos.

DAY 6 - KAYAK ADVENTURE & LINDOS

Non stop day program 8 kayaking miles

We discover the gorgeous coastline and rich maritime formations accessible only by sea kayak at Middle East side of Rhodes. Picturesque bays, gulfs, capes, caves, sandy beaches and natural harbours compose an impressive "necklace" of natural variety, characteristic to the Aegean area. Enjoy untouched land, snorkeling and swimming at secret sandy beaches among rocky coasts. 
Our Farewell party
Memories from the time spent with “Roads Rhodes” and the experience enjoyed among friends. Our goal is that the people who visited us will leave wanting to come back with the new friends they made on the island.

KAYAK ADVENTURE & LINDOS

    Transfer to Stegna for “Kolosous sea kayaking”
    Kayaking at the coastal rocky line of Archangelos direction to Charaki castle.

    17.00 to 19:00 Visit at  Acropolis of Linods . 
    19:30 – 21:30 Dinner at a Greek restaurant in Tsampika and farewell party
