Antony Quinn route

The route starts from the edge of a popular sandy beach located on the eastern side of Rhodes.

We row south with low rock formations decked in pines and low vegetation to our right.

Crossing the bay in front of Antony Quinn Beach, where we will stop off on our return, we can see the rock bearing the same name as the beach. Once we pass it we come to the much-frequented small sandy beach called Ladiko.

We can enjoy the view of the beach from afar as we play among the rock formations located at the edge of the small bay.

We then continue towards the rock formations at Erimokastro where we’ll have the chance to go snorkelling and explore the wonders of the deep.

Then it’s time to relax and enjoy an amazing, nutritious, traditional Greek lunch.

Now that our batteries are recharged we can head back, as we turn around and row northwards.

The next place to explore is Antony Quinn Bay. This part of the island enchanted the well-known actor and now bears his name.

Antony Quinn fell in love with Rhodes while filming ‘The Guns of Navarone’ which was shot in the Lindos area. While here, he toured the entire island and when confronted with the sheer beauty of the bay that now bears his name, he decided to buy it.

The way the soaring steep pine-decked rocks alternate with the calm blue waters makes this a truly evocative place.

There’s plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of the place before heading back to the finishing point of this amazing outing.
